Niyogitha Ujwal – Clarity and Direction Coach

Niyogitha Ujwal

What inspired you to explore coaching or training, and what does this journey mean to you personally at this stage of your life?

For me, coaching evolved naturally rather than being a deliberate career choice. For nearly ten years, I found myself guiding students, professionals, and people around me through conversations that helped them gain clarity in their thinking. Over time, I realized that when people truly understand what is holding them back, their perspective toward life begins to change.

In the last few years, I chose to pursue coaching more intentionally. What makes this journey meaningful to me is that every coaching conversation brings growth not only for the person I work with, but also for me. I often leave sessions feeling clearer and more grounded.

All these experiences reminded me that coaching is not about advice—it is about helping people experience life with greater clarity, confidence, and freedom

How do you currently define yourself—as a professional, a learner, and a future coach or trainer?

I see myself as a professional who is deeply committed to helping people gain clarity and move forward with confidence and direction. At the same time, I consider myself a continuous learner, always reflecting, refining my understanding of human behavior, and growing through every interaction. As a coach and trainer, my focus is not just on guiding others but on empowering them to think independently, make aligned decisions, and experience greater calm, confidence, and freedom in their personal and professional lives.

What beliefs or mindset shifts have most influenced your decision to step into the coaching or training space?

My decision to step into the coaching space has been strongly influenced by the belief that clarity changes how people experience their lives. I have seen that when individuals understand what truly matters to them and recognize what is holding them back, they naturally become more confident in their decisions. This awareness brings a sense of calm and focus. Instead of feeling overwhelmed or stuck, they begin to move toward their goals with greater intention, balance, and a deeper sense of fulfillment.

When you think about your future as a coach or trainer, what kind of impact do you want to create, even if it still feels evolving?

When I think about my future as a coach and trainer, I hope to create an impact where people approach life with greater calmness, clarity, and determination. I want individuals to develop the confidence to think independently and make decisions that are aligned with their values. At the same time, I hope they grow into people who uplift others as well. For me, true impact is when someone not only transforms their own life but also becomes more service-oriented and contributes positively to the growth of others.

What does “success” mean to you right now, beyond money or titles?

Success for me is when growth happens together—both for me and the people I work with. I find fulfillment in seeing more individuals live a life of purpose, satisfaction, and joy in what they do. It means helping people move toward meaningful goals while feeling aligned and content with their journey. At the same time, I continue to grow through coaching, learning constantly from every experience and interaction along the way.

How aware are you of your own strengths, blind spots, and growth areas as a beginner in this profession?

At this phase of my journey, I am very aware that coaching is a continuous process of learning and self-reflection. One of my strengths is creating a space where people feel comfortable sharing openly without fear of judgment. At the same time, I remain conscious that there will always be blind spots and areas for growth. I understand that  every individual’s experiences are unique, and understanding those differences requires constant reflection. I approach this profession with humility and curiosity, seeing every interaction as an opportunity to learn, refine my approach, and grow into a better coach.

What inner challenges—such as self-doubt, confidence, or consistency—are you consciously working on?

At this stage, one of the inner areas I am consciously working on is continuing to learn and grow in my practice. I focus on deepening my understanding through experience, reflection, and ongoing learning. At the same time, I am mindful of not letting my own judgments or self-doubt about outcomes interfere with the coaching process. My intention is to remain present, open, and supportive, so that the space I create for others stays focused on their clarity, growth, and possibilities.

How do you currently invest in your own learning, self-development, and skill building?

I actively invest in my learning through courses from reputed academies, online platforms, and guidance from my mentors. I also deepen my understanding by reading relevant books that expand my perspective. Alongside structured learning, every coaching session becomes a valuable source of growth for me. Each interaction helps me refine my approach, strengthen my skills, and better understand people and their experiences, making my development both continuous and deeply practical.

What values or principles do you want your coaching or training practice to be known for in the long run?

In the long run, I want my coaching practice to be rooted in strong values of integrity, service, and continuous self-improvement. I believe in creating an environment where every individual feels valued, respected, and heard. Learning and growth both for myself and the people I work with. I want my work to reflect a genuine commitment to helping people grow with clarity, purpose, and a mindset that also encourages them to contribute positively to others.

How do you see your personal identity evolving as you grow from a learner into a professional coach or trainer?

As I grow from a learner into a professional coach and trainer, I see myself gaining deeper knowledge and clarity about where I can offer the most value. With experience, I will better understand the areas where I can create maximum impact and the people I can support most effectively. This clarity will allow me to develop strong expertise and a high level of command in my chosen space, while continuing to grow with purpose and intention.

What does integrity and ethical practice mean to you, especially as someone just entering this field?

To me, integrity and ethical practice mean being honest, responsible, and respectful in every coaching interaction. It is about creating a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals feel heard and valued, while maintaining confidentiality and trust.  It also means being aware of my limits, not overpromising outcomes, and staying committed to continuous learning.

How do you balance learning techniques and tools with developing presence, empathy, and self-awareness?

For me, both are deeply interconnected. The more I stay engaged with my subject through continuous learning, the more grounded and confident I feel in my approach. This naturally reflects in the space I create for my clients. As my understanding deepens, presence, empathy, and self-awareness become more natural rather than forced.

What kind of support, environment, or mentorship do you believe will help you grow sustainably in this profession?

I believe a supportive environment that encourages continuous learning, reflection, and honest feedback is essential for sustainable growth in this profession. Being guided by experienced mentors and peers helps me gain perspective, refine my approach, and stay aligned with ethical practices.

If you look five years ahead, what kind of coach or trainer do you genuinely aspire to become—and why?

I hope to develop deep expertise in the areas where I can contribute the most, while staying grounded in my values of integrity, service, and continuous growth. This matters to me because I believe true coaching is about enabling lasting transformation, not just short-term results.
